The Opportunity: Veterinary Services Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Veterinary Services Manager (VSM) to join our team. This remote position offers the flexibility of being based in Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, or Milwaukee. As a VSM, you’ll be a thought leader, embodying our values of customer passion, entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and solidarity.
Your Mission:
As a Veterinary Services Manager, you will use your veterinary expertise to engage, educate, and empower both our internal and external customers. The primary missions include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting and collaborating with the Territory Managers (TMs) and Regional Managers (RMs) at sales meetings, work visits, sales training, industry activities and conferences.
- Providing technical information and expertise in support of sales and marketing for both internal and external customers.
- Effectively educating and empowering the sales team utilizing technical and marketing materials in support of the sales and marketing message.
- Providing technical input and veterinary point-of-view on initiatives, materials, pre- and post-marketing materials, etc.
- Reviewing companion animal marketing materials for technical accuracy as needed.
- Collaborating with the Veterinary Services Leadership to manage and facilitate industry relationships.
- Staying current on emerging and significant animal diseases and pharmaceuticals.
What You’ll Do:
- Technical Expertise & Communication: Translate complex scientific information into customer-focused marketing messages, delivering them in-clinic, at conferences, and virtually.
- Sales & Marketing Support: Partner with sales and marketing teams to achieve objectives through outstanding customer focus and persuasive communication.
- Leadership & Coaching: Lead your region by example, offering encouragement and coaching, and building trust with your colleagues.
- Innovation & Collaboration: Contribute to the development of scientifically robust marketing materials, articles, videos, and social media content.
- Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Management: Identify, develop, and manage relationships with KOLs to build product support through technical data and influence.
What You’ll Bring:
- Veterinary Degree: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Clinical Experience: 5+ years of clinical companion animal practice.
- Licensure: Current and active veterinary license in good standing.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect with others.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret complex technical materials and communicate technical and sales messages effectively.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel (50-70% of work time), with occasional weekend and evening work.
- Additional Requirements: Primary residence must be within 100 miles of an international airport.
