Your Contribution: Driving Operational Excellence in the Cloud

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of our cloud support function, playing a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our Azure infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for incident response, automation, and continuous improvement, driving operational excellence and promoting a culture of accountability. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident Management: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including triage, impact assessment, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure swift resolution.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Deliver clear, concise, and detailed RCA reports following service restoration, identifying the underlying causes of incidents and recommending preventative measures.
  • Process Optimization & Automation: Design and improve testing strategies, streamline processes, create insightful reporting mechanisms, and automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Documentation: Develop, maintain, and enhance operational runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles to ensure consistent and efficient support.
  • Cloud Resource Management: Provision and configure Azure resources across multiple environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
  • Monitoring & Reliability: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools; proactively ensure Azure infrastructure meets stringent availability, performance, and reliability standards.
  • Operational Support: Assist with deployments, patching, and disaster recovery procedures to maintain a secure and resilient cloud environment.

What We’re Looking For: Experience and Skills

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced individual with a passion for cloud technologies and a proven track record of success.

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in infrastructure delivery, cloud operations, or site reliability roles with a demonstrated history of process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Microsoft Azure Expertise: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and solutions.
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform, for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
    • Networking Fundamentals: A strong understanding of networking principles and cloud-native networking services.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
