Your Mission: Bridging User Needs and Business Goals
As our User Experience Strategist, you’ll be at the heart of our digital product development, ensuring that every decision is grounded in user understanding. Your expertise will guide us in defining, planning, and optimizing our digital solutions to meet the ever-evolving needs of our users and the strategic goals of our business.
- Conducting in-depth user research and usability testing to uncover valuable insights into user behavior and preferences.
- Collaborating with diverse teams across business, UX, and development to identify challenges, brainstorm solutions, and drive innovation.
- Analyzing the performance of our digital assets to identify areas for improvement and optimization, ensuring a seamless and engaging user journey.
- Contributing to the development of digital product plans and roadmaps, shaping the future of our digital offerings.
A Day in the Life: Uncovering Insights, Shaping Solutions
Here’s a glimpse into what your daily adventures will look like:
- Dive deep into data: Collect and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources, including interviews, usability tests, surveys, heatmaps, session recordings, and product analytics.
- Collaborate and co-create: Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews with stakeholders and users to understand their goals, needs, and pain points.
- Identify opportunities: Document user experience pain points and opportunities through heuristic evaluations, user journey maps, and competitive analysis.
- Ideate and innovate: Collaborate with UX teammates and other colleagues to brainstorm digital solutions and prioritize recommendations.
- Communicate effectively: Create compelling reports and presentations that clearly communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations.
What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for someone who embodies these qualities:
- A relevant post-secondary degree, ideally with coursework in human factors, HCI, psychology, sociology, or research methods.
- A strong foundation in UX principles and methodologies, with proven experience in conducting interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
- Familiarity with a range of UX research methods, such as A/B testing, diary studies, and user analytics.
- The ability to design research studies that effectively address specific business and user challenges.
- Proficiency in collecting and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate engaging workshops and discussions.
- A collaborative spirit with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Bonus points for experience with user insights platforms, Agile development, and product management practices.
Important Requirements
Please note that due to our contract with the Federal Government, the successful candidate will be required to obtain Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B). This includes fingerprinting, a criminal record check, a credit check, and requires you to have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
