Enterprise Data & Analytics Governance Director Opportunity
Are you a strategic leader passionate about driving data-driven transformation? Brightspeed is seeking a dynamic and experienced Enterprise Data & Analytics Governance Director to join our Finance, Strategy & Transformation team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design, optimization, and implementation of cross-functional data strategies, governance frameworks, and advanced analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Shaping Brightspeed’s Data Future
As the Enterprise Data & Analytics Governance Director, you will:
- Lead the Enterprise Data Governance function, crafting and executing data governance frameworks, establishing data ownership and stewardship, implementing robust quality management models, and governing our data catalog, common data definitions, and KPIs for consistent reporting.
- Drive rapid value creation through a structured program to audit, improve, control, and continuously enhance key data management and analytic processes, maximizing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop an enterprise analytics strategy encompassing standardized reporting and self-service analytics, collaborating with analytic teams to enhance data accessibility and usability, and evaluating cutting-edge tools to deliver real-time insights for data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure team and stakeholder accountability for Data & Analytics excellence, forming and leading enterprise data councils to align on cross-functional priorities, driving adoption and change management for all data initiatives, and building/promoting data-driven decisioning programs across the entire business.
- Conduct comprehensive program reviews across all data transformation initiatives, including risk/mitigation assessments and proactive strategies to continuously improve customer and shareholder value in a prioritized and targeted manner.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations summarizing the status of data transformation initiatives, including key milestones, achievements, and challenges, and present findings, actionable insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For: Skills and Experience
To catch our eye, you’ll need:
- 15+ years of experience in Data & Analytics transformation
- A strong track record of career progression with relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field from a top-tier university
- Certifications in Data Management, Data Science, or AI
- Agile/Scrum certifications
- Deep expertise in Agile methodology for product and software development
- Experience leveraging Data Science and AI to drive business optimization
- Exceptional structured problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguous problem contexts and identify relevant issues and resolutions
- Excellent quantitative skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience in complex programmatic change leadership, with the ability to manage multiple transformational programs simultaneously and deliver high-quality results and business value
- An unwavering focus on results while building strong relationships
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines

- Relevant Telecom experience
- Six Sigma/Lean certifications
- Experience in Six Sigma, Lean, or other process optimization techniques
