The Opportunity: Senior Bid Writer

As a Senior Bid Writer, you will be responsible for developing compelling propositions, proposals, and tender documents that align with our strategic goals and resonate with potential clients. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather critical information, and effectively communicate NEC Digital’s unique capabilities and offerings. This role offers the chance to directly impact our success and contribute to impactful digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft Winning Proposals: Develop high-quality written content for bids, proposals, and tender documents that clearly articulate our solutions, benefits, and value proposition.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure all bid content aligns with NEC Digital Studio’s messaging, branding, and strategic objectives while addressing specific client requirements.
• Solution Focused Content: Collaborate closely with the solutions lead to make sure our proposed solutions fit what the client needs.
• Collaboration is Key: Work with Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Subject Matter Experts to gather input and insights for responses and propositions.
• Deadline Driven: Manage bid timelines to ensure all content is completed, reviewed, and submitted within specified deadlines.
• Continuous Improvement: Collect feedback from tender outcomes to continuously improve content, processes, and win rates.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• Proven experience as a proposition, proposal, and bid writer with a successful track record.
• Experience writing and winning work via proposals, propositions, and tenders in the public sector and for technology and digital transformation-focused bids.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and grammar.
• Familiarity with bid management processes and knowledge management systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent project management and deadline management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Experience in collecting and implementing feedback to improve bid content and win rates.
