As a Senior SRE, you’ll be a crucial part of scaling and modernizing our infrastructure, working with both legacy and modern technologies. You’ll collaborate closely with architecture and product teams to enable reliable delivery across the entire business, contributing directly to making transit fair and accessible for all.

Your Mission as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Based remotely in Argentina, you will play a key role in:

• Automation & Scalability: Implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation, and designing scalable systems to handle high traffic while optimizing resource utilization.
• Continuous Improvement: Refining processes, tools, and workflows to enhance system reliability, scalability, and efficiency, including capacity planning.
• Security & Compliance: Ensuring our infrastructure meets organizational security standards and supports compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and PCI.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Maintaining real-time monitoring systems aligned with SLIs and SLOs, and setting up proactive alerting to prevent incidents.
• Cost Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs through autoscaling, rightsizing, and architectural reviews.
• Disaster Recovery & Redundancy: Implementing failover strategies, disaster recovery plans, and redundancy to ensure system resilience.
• Incident Management: Responding to production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and contributing to post-incident reviews.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Partnering with developers to design reliable systems and coaching teams on best practices for reliability and observability.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintaining detailed documentation for infrastructure, incident response, and workflows.

Our cloud-native platform, hosted on AWS, utilizes a modern technology stack, including:

• Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Pingdom, Kibana
• CI/CD: GitLab CI, Rundeck
• IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation
• Cloud Platforms: AWS

About You – The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone with:

• Significant experience in SRE or related roles, with a proven track record of building and maintaining reliable systems.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Grafana, along with a strong understanding of security principles and networking components.
• Experience building robust CI/CD infrastructure.
• A collaborative team player who prioritizes security and approaches projects with an open mind.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
• The ability to work independently while also knowing when to seek support or input.

Bonus Points:

• Familiarity with PCI DSS v4 Compliance requirements.
• AWS Cloud certification.
• Experience with orchestrating containers.
