Site Reliability Engineer – Build the Foundation for Innovation

Are you a passionate and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) looking to make a significant impact? Join our dynamic DevOps Squad and play a crucial role in shaping the future of financial technology. As an SRE, you will be instrumental in managing and monitoring the CICD pipelines that empower Pismo’s engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions. Your expertise will drive the development of tooling and patterns that enable seamless and frequent releases of database, infrastructure, and application changes into production.

This is a remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from your ideal location. While primarily remote, occasional visits to a Visa office may be required with prior notice.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and monitor CICD pipelines used by Pismo engineering teams.
• Develop tooling and patterns for releasing database, infrastructure, and application changes into production.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize release processes and improve system reliability.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, participating in on-call rotations as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for a talented and dedicated individual with the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, OR
• 2+ years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), OR
• 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR
• 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Site Reliability Engineering principles and practices.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Javascript, Golang, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and CICD tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CodeFresh.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
