Role Purpose: Driving Product Excellence on Our SAP S/4HANA Platform

As the Product Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for leading product development initiatives on our SAP S/4HANA platform and associated applications, managing end-to-end product lifecycles, and ensuring that all products and tools support business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping and delivering exceptional SAP solutions that empower our business. The person will collaborate closely with the relevant functional area stakeholders, technology partners, and senior management to develop, improve, and expand products and processes that enhance business efficiency, compliance, and revenue growth.

Reporting to: Director Enterprise Applications

Location: Requires travel within South Africa and some travel abroad.

Key Responsibilities: Your Impact

• Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your functional area, aligned with business goals and delivering measurable value.
• Product Prioritization: Oversee the formulation and prioritization of product initiatives, grounded in commercial, financial, and operational analysis, market trends, and stakeholder input.
• Global Template Ownership: Act as the owner of the Global Template for the applicable functional area(s), maintaining the highest standards in the design and delivery of new demand and capabilities.
• Solution Delivery: Oversee the functional design and delivery of all Enhancements, Projects, Programmes and Support for the respective domain area.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between business functions, technology, operations, and executive teams, fostering alignment and collaboration.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring successful adoption and ongoing support.
• Budget & Strategy Alignment: Ensure product roadmaps align with company budgets and strategies, prioritizing high-value outcomes.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key product and business metrics, driving data-informed decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business analysts, functional experts, and other team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Skills & Expertise: What You Bring to the Table

• End-to-End Business Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of business and technical disciplines, enabling effective solution design.
• SAP Solution Delivery: Proven ability to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions across various disciplines.
• SAP Methodologies: Familiarity with SAP delivery methodologies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
• Global Team Management: Experience managing diverse, global teams in complex environments.
• Relationship Building: Strong relationship-building skills, both internal and external.
• Functional Area Expertise: SAP S/4HANA certifications in the applicable functional area(s) (Make To Deliver (MTD) & Logistics Execution (LE) preferred) with solution design and delivery experience. Additional module certifications are a plus.
• Functional Area Skills: Proficiency in: BRF+, Batch Management, Materials Management, Plant Maintenance, Quality Management, Shipping, Warehouse Management, Detailed Scheduling.
• SAP Integration Skills: SAP integration (e.g. IDOCs/APIs with 3PLs and related SAP modules).
• Implementation Experience: Multiple full lifecycle implementations required. CPG experience is a plus.
