Are you a passionate and experienced Linux Systems Engineer with a knack for development? In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain the critical Linux infrastructure that powers our mission-critical applications. This is a fully remote position open to Permanent Residents or U.S. Citizens.

Your Mission: Architect, Automate, and Optimize

As a Linux Systems Engineer/Developer, you’ll be a key player in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our Linux-based environments, both in the cloud and on-premise. You’ll be a bridge between systems administration and development, automating processes and optimizing workflows to enhance efficiency. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional solutions to our clients.

What You’ll Do: Responsibilities

• Design and Maintain: Architect, configure, and maintain robust Linux servers and operating environments.
• Automate: Develop automation scripts and tools using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar, to streamline operations.
• Monitor and Troubleshoot: Proactively monitor system performance, identifying and resolving hardware, OS, and application-level issues.
• Secure: Implement and enforce security best practices, including patching, access controls, and vulnerability remediation, to protect our systems.
• Collaborate: Work closely with software engineering teams to optimize system integration and deployment workflows.
• Document: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
• Enable CI/CD: Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices using relevant tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Innovate: Stay abreast of emerging Linux technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit: Success Factors

• Solid experience in Linux system engineering or Linux development roles.
• Expertise in Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud services (especially Azure) and DevOps methodologies.
• Proficiency in system-level programming, performance tuning, and kernel modules is a plus.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to new ideas.
• A commitment to continuous professional growth and learning.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
