This remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in Linux administration, networking, and streaming technologies from the comfort of your home in Egypt. You’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure, ensuring a seamless viewing experience for our global audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert Linux server support for our core broadcasting and streaming infrastructure.
• Manage, maintain, and optimize network infrastructures to guarantee high availability and peak performance.
• Perform proactive support, maintenance, and in-depth troubleshooting of complex video streaming systems.
• Ensure robust system security, manage user access controls, and streamline authentication processes.
• Collaborate effectively with internal technical teams to continuously improve broadcasting workflows and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with:

• Deep proficiency in Linux operating systems (Ubuntu preferred).
• Proven experience as a Linux system administrator with a solid grasp of system-level concepts.
• The ability to confidently utilize shell commands and perform advanced terminal operations.
• A solid understanding of network structures, protocols, and topologies.
• Familiarity with essential Linux services, including:
  • NTP (Network Time Protocol)
  • SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
  • NFS (Network File System)
  • Samba

Bonus Points

The ideal candidate will also possess:

• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system optimization.
• Experience with FFmpeg for video processing and transcoding.
• Familiarity with LDAP systems for authentication and access control.
• Prior experience in the broadcasting, video streaming, or media technology industries.
