Your Opportunity: Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer at Kojo, you’ll be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable solutions that tackle enterprise-level challenges. You will ensure our systems evolve seamlessly with growing client demand, enabling Kojo to be the best construction material management platform.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable solutions for enterprise-level challenges.
• Creating and refining automation tools to boost team efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborating closely with Product, SRE, and CS teams to align technical efforts with business goals.
• Contributing to initiatives like self-service SSO implementation, multi-org user management improvements, internal tooling innovation, and database efficiency enhancements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming principles.
• Proven experience with cloud infrastructure tools, specifically AWS and Kubernetes, for deployment and scaling.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable systems in complex environments.
• Expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and seamless integration with backend services.
• A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration into scalable development workflows.
• Exceptional collaboration skills with a proven ability to work effectively across teams.
• Experience with Datadog for monitoring and observability.

Bonus points for:

• AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification
• Experience with user authentication systems (SSO, OAuth, SCIM).
• Knowledge of feature flag systems for managing staged rollouts.
• Experience with internal tooling development and automation frameworks.
• Exposure to frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
