The Opportunity
As a Business Development Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving dunnhumby’s growth strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to build and nurture key client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to our mission of helping businesses become truly customer-centric.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your existing network to identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the grocery retail and CPG sectors.
- Drive sales by presenting our innovative, customer-first solutions, including Loyalty & Personalization, Category Management, and Retail Media.
- Manage the entire business development lifecycle, from initial prospecting to contract negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, finance, and legal teams, to ensure successful client engagement.
- Implement optimal operating models to ensure successful client engagement and plan execution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven success in exceeding new business targets within a technology or consulting environment.
- A strong network of senior-level contacts within grocery retailers and CPG companies (preferred).
- Exceptional ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with new clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- A consultative selling approach, with a focus on understanding client needs and delivering tailored customer-first solutions.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
