The Role: Technical Writer at Orca Security

We’re seeking an exceptional Technical Writer to join our team and play a pivotal role in creating exceptional documentation that empowers our customers. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to craft clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that helps our users understand and maximize the value of our innovative solutions. What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to document new features, updates, and groundbreaking technologies.
• Design, develop, and maintain knowledge base articles that translate complex concepts into easily digestible information for our users.
• Ensure the clarity, accuracy, and completeness of our documentation, providing invaluable resources for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactively update and enhance existing documentation based on user feedback, product evolutions, and industry trends.
• Take ownership of documentation projects from inception to completion, contributing to the continuous improvement of our documentation processes.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or in a product documentation role, preferably within the SaaS, cloud security, or related industries.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a knack for making complex topics accessible and engaging.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with demonstrated experience working within cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing, etc.).
• A self-motivated and independent work ethic, driven to take ownership of projects and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A solid understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS products, and/or cybersecurity concepts is a significant advantage.
• Experience mentoring other Technical Writers or contributing to documentation planning and coordination is a plus.
• Experience with API documentation is highly desirable.
• A proactive mindset, always seeking opportunities to improve processes and elevate content quality.
