Technical Program Director – Pharmacy Distribution

Join our innovative team at Prime Therapeutics and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Pharmacy Distribution segment! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Program Director to lead and execute strategic initiatives that drive efficiency, enhance customer experience, and support our continued growth.

What You’ll Do:

As our Technical Program Director, you will be the driving force behind key Pharmacy Distribution projects. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and optimization of our technology solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Requirements Gathering & Translation: Facilitate business requirements activities, translating stakeholder needs and business goals into actionable requirements for implementation.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact with our SaaS vendor, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Platform Customization & Configuration: Guide the setup, configuration, and customization of our specialty and home delivery pharmacy and telephony platforms to optimize operational workflows and ensure compliance.
  • Testing & Validation: Define test scenarios, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate that solutions meet expectations before go-live.
  • Issue Resolution: Triage and escalate bugs, outages, or performance issues, coordinating with internal IT and support teams as needed.
  • Training & Adoption: Partner with vendors and our training team to develop training materials and sessions, supporting user adoption and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track usage, user satisfaction, and Return on Investment (ROI) metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and feature enhancements.
  • Advocacy & Innovation: Provide feedback and feature requests to the vendor based on user needs and advocate for enhancements that align with our Pharmacy Distribution strategic goals.
  • Program Execution: Oversee the execution of operational plans for complex programs and critical initiatives, ensuring alignment and identifying interdependencies.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and on-budget implementation of Pharmacy Distribution strategies.
  • Product/Program Management: Manage products/programs and implement tools/enhancements to support the successful development and implementation of new strategies.
  • Business Case Development: Develop and maintain business cases and materials that support new system opportunities and contribute to achieving performance metric targets.

What You’ll Bring:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Deep understanding of dispensing pharmacy front-end and back-end operating systems.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in specialty pharmacy, analytics, product development, or consultative roles within healthcare, PBM, healthcare consulting, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Bonus Points:

A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

The potential pay for this position ranges from $108,000.00 – $184,000.00, commensurate with experience and skills. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.
