Your Mission:

As a Principal Data Engineer & Product Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind delivering custom data solutions to our clients. This role is a unique blend of technical expertise and client engagement, requiring you to build tailored analytics, manage data integrations, and create enterprise-level deliverables like reports, dashboards, and performance insights.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with our Professional Services team to understand client needs and develop custom reporting and data solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain custom SQL queries, data pipelines, and transformation logic to support enterprise reporting requirements.
• Onboard new clients by seamlessly integrating their historical data sources with the Springbig platform.
• Create compelling dashboards, scorecards, and scheduled reports using BI tools like QuickSights, Redshift, and other AWS Services.
• Engage directly with clients to troubleshoot reporting issues, clarify data definitions, and provide data analysis that supports their key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data deliverables align with platform capabilities and client expectations.
• Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and privacy compliance across all Professional Services outputs.
• Document processes, templates, and technical solutions to enable scalability and repeatability within the team.
• Provide analytical insights to help clients optimize their loyalty programs, campaign ROI, and platform utilization.
• Assist in developing standardized reporting packages for high-value clients and strategic partners.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence, ideally in a client-facing or services-focused role.
• Mastery of SQL and experience with relational databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and scripting languages such as Python for automation and data transformation.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools like QuickSights, Tableau, or Looker.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
• Experience in SaaS, MarTech, or loyalty/CRM platforms is a significant plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
