As Deputy Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Programs Department, ensuring its sustainability, scalability, and continued success in delivering exceptional value to our government partners.

What You’ll Do: A Dynamic and Impactful Role

As Deputy Director, you will be at the heart of Arlo Solution’s Program Department:

• Strategic Leadership: Support the Director of Program Management in developing and executing strategic goals for the Programs Department, including the creation of technical solution frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Business Development Support: Collaborate with business development teams on scoping proposals for new contracts, providing invaluable insights on technical solutions, staffing models, pricing strategies, and risk mitigation.
• Financial Acumen: Partner with the Finance department to enhance our estimate at completion (EAC) process, improving budgeting, forecasting, and contract monitoring.
• Transition Program Management: Spearhead the successful transition of new contracts, from initial scoping and technical kick-offs to hiring and developing essential program management deliverables and tools.
• Program Management Oversight: Serve as interim program manager during vacancies, ensuring continuity and maintaining high standards of service delivery. Potentially serve as program manager for longer term opportunities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with customers, internal departments (finance, contracts, HR, etc.), and teaming partners to foster strong relationships and ensure seamless collaboration.
• Risk Management & Quality Assurance: Develop and implement processes to effectively manage contract risks and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Is This You? Key Qualifications

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced leader with:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10-15+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in program management.
• Proven experience in federal government contract program management.
• Exceptional strategic thinking skills and a track record of developing frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Experience leading teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and critical problem-solving abilities.
• Strong client service and service delivery excellence skills.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders and clients.
• Solid understanding of risk management and quality control principles.

Bonus Points: DoD experience and IT program management experience are highly desirable.

This is a remote position, with preference for candidates located in the Washington, DC area to facilitate customer meetings and visits to our headquarters.
