Job Description

Join Our Team as an Associate Consultant: Elevate Nonprofit Fundraising!

Do you have a passion for empowering nonprofits and maximizing their philanthropic impact?

We’re seeking a dynamic and driven Associate Consultant to join our Nonprofit Technology and Operations team. In this role, you’ll partner with a diverse range of mission-driven organizations, helping them optimize their fundraising processes, technology, and strategies.

As a key member of our client-facing engagement teams, you’ll contribute to assessments, provide expert counsel, and deliver impactful solutions in areas such as gift processing, reporting, technology ecosystem effectiveness, and donor experience enhancement. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and are passionate about making a difference in the nonprofit sector, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions.
  • Conduct assessments of existing fundraising operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives through writing, speaking engagements, and industry events.
  • Actively participate in internal activities to support firm growth and development.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by identifying opportunities and engaging in the sales process.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a nonprofit setting, with 2+ years focused on fundraising operations (ideally in higher education, healthcare, or similar).
  • A strong understanding of nonprofit technology and its role in supporting fundraising efforts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset for developing effective client recommendations.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; professional certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

This position offers flexibility, with options for remote work or a hybrid model based in our Minneapolis office. We foster a collaborative and supportive environment where you can grow your skills and make a real impact. We work hard, but value a healthy work/life balance.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, with bonus potential. BWF provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, including:

  • Paid holidays, PTO, and volunteer time off.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Employer-paid life insurance, disability coverage, and long-term care insurance.

BWF is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace where everyone can thrive. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.

To Apply: Please submit your resume and a compelling cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and passion for the nonprofit sector. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early!
