About the Role

As a Technical Program Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of key engineering initiatives. You will be the linchpin connecting our talented engineering teams, product managers, and the data that powers our insights. Your ability to balance technical understanding with exceptional organizational and communication skills will be essential in creating clarity, resolving blockers, and driving projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering projects, from planning and scope definition to execution and delivery, across multiple teams.
• Act as a technical liaison, fostering seamless communication between teams, proactively resolving roadblocks, and promoting transparency in project progress.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and roadmaps for small to medium engineering initiatives in collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical initiatives that may not be included on formal product roadmaps, ensuring alignment and progress on all critical priorities.
• Organize and facilitate project-related meetings, retrospectives, and planning sessions to keep teams aligned and informed.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and efficiency of engineering efforts, identifying areas for improvement.
• Leverage your knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., Python, Java, PHP, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Node, or Remix) to better understand and support engineering teams.
• Operate effectively in multi-team engineering environments, such as front-end web application teams working in partnership with back-end API teams.
• Utilize project management tools (e.g., ProductBoard, Jira, Asana) to maintain alignment and project visibility, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, both in written and verbal formats.
• Analyze unstructured or incomplete data, deriving valuable insights to shape stronger, more efficient systems.
• Work independently with curiosity and drive, consistently seeking to make complex systems more coherent and effective.

Experience and Education

• Experience working with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) in a technical environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Lightcast’s chosen infrastructure providers (AWS, Snowflake, Gitlab, Gitlab pipelines) is a plus.

Location and Flexibility

This position is primarily remote, offering the flexibility to work from your home office. Occasional in-person work may be required at our main office in Moscow, Idaho. We offer flexibility in work arrangements, with the position potentially flexing between half-time and full-time. Exact hours will be negotiated during the hiring process and may be revisited after the start date.
