The Opportunity: Senior Manager, Virtual Practice Operations

As the Senior Manager of Virtual Practice Operations, you will be a crucial leader in optimizing the infrastructure, processes, and performance of our virtual clinical practice, Thyme Care Medical. You’ll oversee critical areas such as licensing & credentialing, revenue cycle management (RCM), billing & coding, and virtual visit performance across various visit types. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, operational excellence, and the ability to coach and develop managers. You’ll thrive in a complex environment, balancing clinical, compliance, and business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Set and own 6โ€“12 month strategic goals aligned with departmental and company priorities. Translate department strategy into team-specific initiatives for licensing, RCM, billing/coding, and visit utilization.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee execution of core operational processes, including provider licensing & credentialing, revenue cycle management and billing compliance, accurate medical coding workflows, and virtual visit volume growth.
  • Project Management: Implement structured project management practices to ensure on-time delivery of cross-functional initiatives and drive the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, compliance, and ROI.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, payers, product, legal, and finance. Serve as the primary spokesperson for Virtual Practice Operations.
  • People Development: Direct and mentor a growing team of operations managers and individual contributors. Coach managers to lead high-performing teams and hold staff accountable.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 8โ€“12+ years of operations experience in healthcare, with at least 3 years managing managers and cross-functional projects.
  • Healthcare Expertise: Deep understanding of healthcare operations, particularly licensing, credentialing, RCM, and virtual care delivery models.
  • Builder Mentality: Ability to thrive in scaling environments where structure and processes are being established or rebuilt.
  • Strategic & Analytical Skills: Sets vision, tracks impact through KPIs, and uses data to inform action.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of developing managers and building inclusive, high-performing teams.
  • Operational Discipline: Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively navigate executive conversations and drive cross-functional alignment.

The base salary for this role is $145,000 – $165,000. This is just a part of our overall competitive compensation package.
