Tolling Sales Manager – Drive Innovation in the Tolling Industry

PayNearMe is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to spearhead our growth within the tolling industry. As a player-coach, you’ll lead a team of account executives, while also managing key accounts and achieving individual sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of the tolling ecosystem, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue through strategic sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Tolling-Specific Revenue Growth: Cultivate strategic relationships with public sector clients, tolling authorities, concessionaires, and associated organizations to expand our presence in the tolling market.
  • Team Management and Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of account executives, setting clear performance metrics and providing ongoing mentorship to foster their success.
  • Sales Execution: Own the entire sales cycle for major tolling accounts, from initial prospecting to contract closure, leveraging industry relationships and public procurement channels.
  • Strategic Market Development: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities within the tolling sector, collaborating with internal teams to align messaging and influence product development.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Serve as the tolling subject matter expert within the sales organization, guiding the team’s understanding of client needs and requirements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience in the tolling industry, with a strong network of contacts within tolling agencies, concessionaires, or related public sector stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS or technology sales, ideally selling complex or mission-critical solutions.
  • A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals as a quota-carrying sales professional.
  • Experience managing or mentoring sales teams (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success working with government entities, tolling authorities, or similar stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the procurement lifecycle in public sector sales (e.g., RFPs, RFIs, state purchasing processes).
  • Experience selling payment solutions into tolling environments (a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort and success working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
