Your Mission as a Senior SRE

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll be a critical player in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our production platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with service teams, develop automation solutions, and drive platform-wide improvements. Plus, you’ll participate in our on-call rotation to keep things running smoothly.

• Mentor and support other SRE team members
• Lead complex changes and influence our operating strategy
• Identify and deliver impactful SRE-led projects
• Define and uphold standards for our operating environments
• Provide expert guidance to the development teams we support
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, contributing to sustainable long-term solutions
• Drive improvements in automation, observability, and reliability practices
• Partner with infrastructure teams to evolve and strengthen our platform

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We’re seeking a seasoned SRE professional ready to contribute to the future of Anaplan. While we don’t expect you to know everything on day one, we value diverse experiences and a passion for learning. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• 6+ years of experience in SRE or equivalent operationally focused engineering roles
• Strong Linux administration skills – a must-have from day one
• Experience operating live, production-grade Kubernetes environments
• Expertise in problem diagnosis across complex, distributed systems
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
• Experience with Git version control and modern CI/CD and DevOps practices

Bonus Points

These skills will definitely give you an edge:

• Hands-on experience with one or more public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with Event Streaming, Exception Management, and Integration technologies such as Apache Pulsar
• Experience with Stream-processing and batch-processing frameworks such as Apache Flink
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring best practices
• Prior experience mentoring or coaching other engineers
