Your Opportunity: Lead the Charge in Building Our Corporate Card Program

As a vital member of the Engine team, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, shaping our high-velocity Engine Corporate Card product line. We’re building a card that goes beyond traditional booking, delivering instant savings, exclusive discounts, and a flexible rewards currency that empowers our customers wherever they travel โ€“ from restaurants to airlines, rideshares, and food delivery services. Zero annual fees, seamless implementation, and complete transparency are just the beginning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Merchant Partnership Strategy: Identify, prioritize, and negotiate exclusive discount agreements with key partners in the restaurant, airline, rideshare, food delivery, and SaaS spaces, driving measurable value for our cardholders.
  • Build Rewards & Benefits Ecosystem: Launch and manage strategic point-transfer partnerships with major travel loyalty programs, curating redemption options that foster engagement and retention.
  • Lead End-to-End Deal Execution: Oversee the entire deal lifecycle, from initial sourcing through legal, finance, risk, and marketing launch, ensuring all commercial terms meet target ROI and compliance standards.
  • Drive Card Adoption & Usage: Collaborate with Product, Growth, and Sales teams to develop compelling offers, execute joint marketing campaigns, and track performance against key metrics such as activation, spend, and margin goals.
  • Establish Partner Governance: Define operating cadences, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and data-sharing frameworks, proactively monitoring partner health and renegotiating terms when economic conditions change.
  • Shape the Vision & Team: Translate emerging market trends into actionable roadmap recommendations, mentor cross-functional colleagues, and build a high-performing partnership management team as the program scales.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We’re looking for a results-oriented individual with a passion for building and a proven track record of success. Here’s what will make you a standout candidate:

  • 7โ€“10+ years of experience negotiating high-value commercial partnerships within the card, payments, or loyalty ecosystems, with a demonstrated ability to deliver revenue-positive deals.
  • A deep network across the travel, dining, rideshare, and fintech industries, enabling you to open doors and close deals quickly in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of loyalty economics, including interchange, breakage, liability, and point-transfer valuations, with the ability to develop robust partner business cases in Excel.
  • An operator’s mindset with experience navigating deals through legal, compliance (e.g., SOC 2, PCI-DSS), and risk review processes.
  • Proven ability to define key performance indicators (KPIs), build dashboards, and optimize offers post-launch using data-driven insights and customer feedback.
  • A builder’s DNA โ€“ you thrive in ambiguous environments, move quickly, and enjoy creating structure from scratch.
