As an Account Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in expanding our market presence by collaborating with our valued channel partners. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the continued success of Veeam.

Account Manager – Velocity: Your Mission

As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Drive Sales Growth: Generate sales within your assigned territory by effectively prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals.
  • Partner Collaboration: Work closely with our channel partners to identify and pursue new business opportunities, coordinating sales activities and maximizing coverage within the region.
  • Solution Selling: Map key business and technical benefits of Veeam’s solutions to end-user requirements, leveraging partner deal registrations, qualified opportunities, and lead generation lists.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders within partner organizations and end-user customers, establishing Veeam as a trusted advisor.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, maintain detailed account information in our CRM system (Salesforce.com), and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Territory Strategy: Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Marketing, and Systems Engineers to develop and execute effective territory plans.

This role is primarily conducted via phone and email in territory with some limited travel requirements (30%).

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We’re looking for a results-oriented individual with:

  • Proven Sales Experience: 2+ years of B2B sales experience with high-tech products/services (preferred).
  • Territory: Candidates may be based in Bristish Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba or Ontario.  
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree preferred (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • Channel Expertise: Experience driving the sales process across internal and external teams (channel, engineering, marketing, field).
  • Relationship Skills: Ability to connect with different types of people to build positive, lasting relationships.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities.
  • Communication Prowess: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in electronic correspondence and business research tools.
  • Technical Acumen: Knowledge of the virtualization industry and Salesforce.com is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MSOffice based automation tools (Excel, Outlook, etc).
  • Passion for Technology: A strong interest and passion for technology innovation and the industry.
