This is a fully remote role based within the U.S.
What You’ll Do
As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and scaling our best-in-class ML ecosystem. You will:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust MLOps tools and practices, including continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring for our machine learning systems.
- Optimize model performance and scalability, ensuring high reliability and efficiency across our platform.
- Develop and enhance tools that empower our data scientists, improving their productivity and overall workflow.
- Contribute significantly to the design and architecture of our evolving ML infrastructure.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with a strong blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit. Ideally, you possess:
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong focus on Machine Learning and MLOps.
- Deep proficiency in Python and SQL, alongside practical experience with machine learning libraries like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proven experience deploying and managing ML models in production environments, including familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), or similar technologies.
- A strong understanding of CI/CD best practices for machine learning, including automated testing and deployment pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and their machine learning services.
- Experience project managing a small team using a modern agile methodology.
- Experience influencing a cross-disciplinary organization to adopt best practices.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., CDK, Terraform) and configuration management tools.
- A solid grasp of data engineering and architecture principles.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a genuine passion for tackling challenging problems within a team.
Bonus Points
While not required, we’d be especially excited if you have:
- Startup experience โ either as a founder or early engineering hire.
- Experience in the health tech domain, particularly with hospital billing systems.
- Experience with the entire machine learning project lifecycle, from data acquisition and model training to deployment and monitoring.
- Experience deploying Large Language Models into Production environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the machine learning community.

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including:
- Base salary range: $220,000 – $270,000 (dependent on experience) + equity incentives
