The Opportunity: Drive New Business as an SMB Account Executive

As an SMB Account Executive at Trustwell, you will be a key driver of our growth by focusing on acquiring new customers (‘new logos‘) within the Food Manufacturing, Food Service, and Supplement Manufacturing sectors. You will own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and pipeline generation to navigating complex sales conversations and ultimately closing deals. This is a high-impact role where your success directly contributes to our company’s bookings goals and expands our reach in vital markets.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting remote role, you will:

  • Strategically identify and engage potential SMB clients through targeted outbound prospecting and research within your designated territory.
  • Leverage leading sales technology (like Salesloft, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to design and execute effective multi-touch campaigns that build robust pipeline.
  • Qualify and expertly manage inbound leads, guiding prospects efficiently through the sales funnel.
  • Deliver compelling, tailored presentations and product demonstrations that clearly articulate the value of our Genesis R&D SaaS solutions.
  • Skillfully navigate prospect objections and concerns, demonstrating deep product knowledge and aligning our solutions to their specific food safety and compliance needs.
  • Relentlessly pursue opportunities, demonstrating strong accountability and follow-through to consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities and pipeline status within Salesforce CRM.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with prospects and customers.

What You’ll Bring: Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in B2B SaaS sales, specifically within the SMB market.
  • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and performance targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in using CRM platforms like Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking.
  • Experience managing a high volume of opportunities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to operate independently and effectively in a remote work setting with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in outbound prospecting and selling software into new markets.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience or familiarity with Salesforce, SalesLoft, and ZoomInfo.
  • A background in the food & beverage, nutrition, regulatory compliance, or a related industry.
  • Experience with consultative or solution-based selling methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SaaS software sales and APIs.
