Lead Projects: Project manage significant tax-related initiatives, including those for new products, market expansions, process improvements, and operational tax challenges. This involves creating detailed project plans, setting timelines, and meticulously tracking deliverables.
Dive Deep: Operate with a strong attention to detail, digging into every aspect that directly or indirectly impacts tax implications for our products and initiatives. Ensure compliance while helping to identify ways to enable and grow the business.
Communicate Effectively: Clearly and concisely communicate project plans, status updates, and critical issues to stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
Build Scalable Solutions: Design and document scalable policies and procedures, creating clear playbooks for the Tax team.
Advise Internally: Provide expert tax advice within the Tax team on strategic planning initiatives, legislative developments, and various ad hoc matters.
Manage Relationships: Oversee external advisors as necessary to leverage specialized expertise.
What You Bring
We are looking for a talented and proactive professional with:
Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in tax, finance (including accounting), legal, project management, consulting, or related fields. Experience in a high-growth or early-stage startup environment is a plus.
Project Leadership: Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Experience managing large consulting or advisory engagements is preferred.
Technical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex tax issues clearly and understandably to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ownership Mentality: A “roll up your sleeves” attitude, willing to do what it takes to drive results, even if it falls outside typical responsibilities.
Analytical Rigor: Strong attention to detail combined with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Integrity: Approach your role and responsibilities with a strong moral compass and unwavering integrity.
