Join Our Insights & Analytics Team as a Senior Data Analyst

As we continue to grow and innovate, data becomes our compass. We’re seeking a talented and strategic Senior Data Analyst to join our dedicated Insights & Analytics team. In this pivotal role, you won’t just report data; you’ll be instrumental in translating complex information into clear, actionable insights that directly shape our business strategy and improve the lives of pets and their parents.

Leveraging your advanced skills in SQL, Python, and cutting-edge analytical tools, you’ll build robust data solutions. You’ll design compelling dashboards and visualizations that transform raw data into compelling narratives understood by stakeholders across the organization, including our executive leadership. With a deep understanding of our business goals, you’ll develop the data products and resources needed to power experimentation, optimize customer experiences, and uncover exciting new opportunities in the dynamic pet health market.

• Drive Strategic Decisions: Lead sophisticated quantitative analyses to measure the impact of new product launches, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives, delivering data-backed recommendations that influence high-level business choices.
• Be a Trusted Partner: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – from Product and Engineering to Operations and Marketing – and senior leadership to proactively identify how data can unlock insights, streamline processes, and inform critical prioritization decisions.
• Build a Unified Understanding: Synthesize data from various internal systems and external sources to create a holistic view of customer behavior, operational performance, and partner dynamics, translating these insights into actionable strategies across the company.
• Shape the Future: Serve as a key thought partner to leadership, contributing to strategic planning by evaluating emerging opportunities, market trends, and competitive dynamics to support Koala Health’s long-term growth trajectory.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Experience)

You are a curious, analytical thinker with a passion for using data to solve real-world problems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record of turning data into impact.

Core Requirements:

• Significant experience, typically 6+ years, in a progressive data analytics role, ideally within e-commerce, subscription services, or customer-centric businesses.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL is a must. You’re adept at navigating complex data ecosystems and analyzing large, multi-source datasets to unearth insights that drive measurable business results.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end investigative data work, from sourcing and structuring messy operational data to designing and implementing robust analytical solutions for high-priority decisions.
• Strong aptitude for data visualization. You’re skilled in wireframing and prototyping, with a keen sense for presenting KPIs and building data narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, including executives.
• Hands-on experience with Python or R for data analysis and fluency with leading visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, Amplitude, or Heap.
• A strong ownership mindset: you’re a self-starter who can independently drive projects from initial problem definition through execution and clear communication with stakeholders.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with modern data stack tools like DBT, Snowflake, and Mozart for building scalable data pipelines and transforming raw data into analytics-ready assets.
• Familiarity with marketing analytics and customer data platforms (CDPs) like Segment, Mixpanel, and related attribution tools.
