Ready to build the future of data protection? We’re seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to become a key member of our dynamic Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) engineering team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a global team, shaping the next generation of modern SaaS data protection platforms. You’ll dive into a cutting-edge technology stack, leveraging containers, serverless infrastructure, Golang, and advanced public cloud services.

What You’ll Do and the Impact You’ll Make:
As a Site Reliability Engineer on the VDC team, your contributions will be vital to ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our global SaaS platform. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions, primarily on Microsoft Azure, with potential expansion to other cloud platforms.
- Automating deployment, maintenance, and operational tasks to build a secure, efficient, and resilient SaaS application platform that consistently meets and exceeds service level objectives.
- Supporting and enhancing our continuous delivery and release pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software deployments.
- Continuously evaluating and improving the reliability, performance, and scalability of our critical systems through proactive analysis and optimization.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to provide deep visibility into system health and performance.
- Responding to incidents in our production environments for distributed applications, including mandatory participation in on-call rotations to ensure 24×7 availability.
- Proactively ensuring compliance with industry information security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, SOX, SSAE 16).
- Championing the definition, documentation, and improvement of internal standards for code style, system design, and maintainability.
Technologies and Environment You’ll Work With:
You’ll be working within a modern DevOps focused environment, utilizing tools and platforms such as:
- Version Control & CI/CD: Microsoft TFS, Azure DevOps, Git, BitBucket.
- Cloud Platforms: Deep engagement with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Entra ID, API Management, Cosmos Db, Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Security), with exposure to others like AWS being a plus.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Azure ARM templates, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, the Serverless Framework.
- Observability: Azure Monitor, AppInsights, Elastic Stack.

Location and Salary Information:
This position is open to applicants permanently located within the United States. This is a remote role for candidates based in the USA, with preferred working hours aligning with the EST/CT time zones.
The salary range posted represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes both base salary and variable pay components. Compensation offers are determined based on factors such as candidate experience, education, scope of responsibility, and current market conditions.
United States of America Pay Range: $136,500—$195,000 USD
