Your Opportunity: Technical Lead, WMS

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Lead, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to play a pivotal role in scaling our operations and enhancing efficiency within our distribution centers. This isn’t just a leadership position; it’s an opportunity to shape the technological backbone of our rapidly growing fulfillment network and directly impact our ability to deliver health and wellness solutions to patients across North America.

As the Technical Lead, WMS, you will guide a skilled team of developers and administrators, making critical decisions on the architecture and strategic direction of our WMS platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation, improving productivity, and ensuring the quality and stability of our fulfillment technology stack as the business expands. You will work hand-in-hand with Operations leadership and other key stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational needs and business goals.

How You’ll Contribute

Your mission in this role is to lead the evolution of our WMS, ensuring it remains a competitive advantage for Fullscript. This includes:

• Acting as the primary technical visionary for the WMS platform, proactively identifying and championing new capabilities, tools, and automation to elevate efficiency and reliability across our supply chain and distribution center operations.
• Elevating software development practices within the WMS team, leveraging tools like AI, implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, and enhancing automated testing strategies to accelerate delivery and bolster code quality.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of WMS experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
• Owning the technical design and successful execution of WMS projects, meticulously planning deliverables and driving progress against the product roadmap.
• Collaborating closely with Operations and cross-functional business partners to ensure technical solutions seamlessly integrate with and support day-to-day and future operational requirements in our fulfillment environment.
• Maintaining the technical health, performance, and stability of the WMS platform, ensuring it is robust and scalable to meet the demands of a fast-growing eCommerce and healthcare business.
• Establishing and monitoring key system performance metrics to enable proactive optimization and ensure operational excellence.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a blend of technical depth, leadership experience, and a passion for building efficient systems:

• A proven history of successfully leading and inspiring high-performing technical teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience specifically within WMS or complex enterprise systems in fulfillment or distribution environments.
• Expertise in modern programming languages such as C# and frameworks like .NET, coupled with strong skills in SQL development and performance optimization.
• Experience with HighJump/K.Motion, including Advantage Architect and Webwise PageEditor, is a significant plus.
• Strong project management capabilities, with experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Operations teams and diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and implementing comprehensive automated testing strategies.
• Experience with AI development tools is a bonus.
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles, API integration, and database design.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership and excellent communication skills.
