The Opportunity: Hardware Lab Technician

We are seeking a crucial Hardware Lab Technician to play a vital role in the smooth and efficient functioning of our daily warehouse operations. This position is essential for ensuring the quality and reliability of Flock’s technology.

As a Lab Technician, you will be key in identifying potential issues and guaranteeing the accurate tracking, sorting, and processing of our hardware components. By collaborating closely with teams like Operations and Supply Chain, you will directly contribute to optimizing workflows, boosting accuracy, and maximizing overall efficiency.

Your expertise will help uphold the high standards of our hardware operations, directly supporting Flock’s success and our mission to create safer communities.

What You’ll Bring: Your Technical Skillset

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual eager to contribute to a fast-paced hardware environment. Your skills and experience should include:

• Hands-on experience with the operation and maintenance of standard lab bench tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
• Proficiency in manual soldering techniques, adhering to IPC standards.
• Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) principles, concepts, and basic measurements.
• Experience in creating accurate technical documentation of test procedures and results.
• Skilled in identifying and resolving technical issues related to hardware components.
• Exceptional attention to detail in laboratory procedures and data collection.
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe and organized lab environment.

• First 30 Days: Immerse yourself in Flock’s hardware and warehouse operations. Build foundational knowledge and connect with key team members across departments. Begin identifying and proposing initial opportunities for efficiency improvements in asset handling. Support daily operations and provide process feedback.
• First 60 Days: Enhance your skills in asset tracking and auditing, becoming proficient in managing documentation and executing independent inventory audits. Strengthen cross-functional collaboration, engaging with technical and engineering teams to address workflow issues. Actively contribute to implementing improvements in asset management processes and documentation.
• 90 Days & Beyond: Take ownership of key asset audit procedures, leading efforts for accuracy and efficiency gains. Drive comprehensive enhancements across asset management workflows. Identify and implement significant upgrades and streamlining within testing procedures to optimize technical operations.

Compensation & Rewards: Investing in Our People

We are committed to fairly compensating our employees for their valuable contributions and investing in their well-being.

• Competitive Salary: This role offers a starting base salary range of $75,200 to $103,400. Your compensation will be determined based on your job-related experience, education/training, and market indicators.
