Remote HR Generalist – People Operations

As a HR Generalist at Facet, you will play a critical role in the smooth operation of our People functions and directly contribute to fostering an exceptional employee experience for our distributed team. You’ll be instrumental in executing key People programs and processes, providing essential support, and ensuring our team can thrive and focus on delivering life-changing financial advice.

What You’ll Own and Drive (Key Responsibilities)

This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities where your accuracy and efficiency will be key:

Benefits Administration: Take ownership of our employee benefits processes, including coordinating open enrollment, liaising with our benefits broker, and managing delivery through our HRIS platform to ensure employees receive accurate and timely coverage.

Leave Management: Coordinate all aspects of employee leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing clear, empathetic guidance to employees.

Payroll Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of our semi-monthly payroll via our automated system. This includes essential data entry, audits, and adjustments.

HRIS & Data Management: Act as a primary administrator for our HRIS (experience with Rippling or Workable is a plus!). You will maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensure data integrity, and be a key contact for people operations systems and reporting inquiries.

Employee Lifecycle Management: Coordinate the end-to-end employee journey, from facilitating a welcoming and efficient onboarding experience for new team members to managing respectful and smooth offboarding processes.

Employee Engagement Support: Assist with various initiatives designed to connect and engage our remote workforce, including coordinating virtual events and supporting our recognition programs. You’ll also help manage people-related content on our company careers page and LinkedIn.

People Operations & Support: Contribute to the overall efficiency of our People Operations. Provide timely and accurate support to employees and managers, resolving inquiries related to People policies, processes, and programs with professionalism and care.

Program & Process Development: Collaborate with the People team on the design, development, and implementation of new or enhancements to existing People programs and processes that support Facet’s values and strategic goals.

Hiring Support (As Needed): Provide valuable assistance to our hiring operations, particularly during periods of high volume, which may include candidate screening, interview coordination, and general process support.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a highly organized and proactive HR professional with a knack for detail and a genuine desire to support employees. You bring the following:

Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience in Human Resources or People Operations, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR principles and best practices. Hands-on experience with benefits administration, payroll processing, and leave management is a must.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms is required; direct experience with Rippling or Workable is highly desirable.

Detail-Oriented & Confidential: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are paramount, especially when handling sensitive data. You demonstrate impeccable discretion and judgment when managing confidential employee and company information.

Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and proactively identify and solve problems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Communication: Strong, clear, and professional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact effectively and empathetically with employees, managers, and colleagues.

Adaptability: Comfortable working quickly and adapting to evolving needs and processes in a dynamic, fully remote setting.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications): A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; prior experience in a fast-paced or high-growth company (especially FinTech); or an HR certification (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) are a plus.
