The Opportunity: Lead HIM/RC Growth

This isn’t just a sales role; it’s an opportunity to shape the future of Health Information Management (HIM) data access and exchange within your dedicated zone. As the HIM Zone Commercial Leader, you will be the primary driver of sales strategy and execution for our powerful HIM/RC product suite (Health Information Management / Release of Information). You’ll collaborate closely with our Provider Go-to-Market team, applying your profound HIM/RC domain expertise and proven sales leadership to identify key opportunities, accelerate deal cycles, and significantly expand our footprint within health systems and provider organizations.

Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Drive

In this critical role, you will:

Lead Zone Growth: Own and consistently exceed quarterly and annual booking and revenue targets for the HIM/RC product suite within your assigned zone. Focus on market share expansion and profitability.

Shape and Drive Pipeline: Collaborate strategically with Vertical Practice Groups (VPGs) and Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) to identify, qualify, and close high-value HIM/RC opportunities. Lead territory planning, TAM assessment, and account profiling for maximum impact.

Accelerate the Sales Cycle: Apply your profound HIM/RC domain knowledge to expedite deals. Deliver compelling solution scoping, clearly demonstrate proof of value, and define concrete future-state roadmaps for prospects.

Leverage Sales Technology: Utilize CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce, to meticulously manage your book of business, track all account activity and opportunities, and provide accurate forecasts and pipeline visibility.

Build Enduring Relationships: Develop deep, trusted relationships with key executives and decision-makers within health systems. Foster growth within existing accounts and establish new partnerships to drive revenue and ensure customer success.

Coordinate Strategic Execution: Work cross-functionally with Product, Customer Experience, and other Sales teams to structure strategic deals and ensure seamless long-term account planning and support.

Be the HIM/RC Subject Matter Expert: Act as the internal and external authority on HIM/RC workflows and industry trends. Share insights to guide teams and customers, influencing solution design and implementation based on your domain mastery.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

You are a seasoned professional ready to make a significant impact. Your background includes:

A Bachelor’s degree paired with at least 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare sales, marketing, HIM/RC leadership, or health system administration focusing on HIM/RC. Alternatively, 8+ years combining medical sales, marketing, or HIM/RC operations.

Proven ability to effectively present complex technology solutions and value propositions to senior-level audiences and C-suite executives.

Exceptional analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and strong organizational skills.

Proficiency in using leading CRM software, particularly Salesforce, for pipeline management and reporting.

A strong understanding of the HIM/RC landscape, challenges, and opportunities within health systems.

Compensation & Total Rewards

Datavant offers a competitive total rewards package designed to attract and retain top talent. This role includes a base salary within the estimated range of $115,000 – $135,000 USD, commensurate with experience, skills, and specific role level. This position is also eligible for additional variable compensation based on performance.
