The Opportunity

As an Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of Versaterm’s critical applications. You’ll own the process of deploying, configuring, and upgrading our solutions, both within our own Versaterm Cloud infrastructure and, occasionally, at customer sites. This role blends deep technical expertise in cloud operations and security with the opportunity to provide leadership and drive results through effective team collaboration and guidance.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, combined with 3-5 years of experience in Cloud operations.

• Deep hands-on experience deploying and managing SaaS applications on Microsoft Azure.

• Proven expertise with key Azure Application Services.

• Strong command of Microsoft PowerShell scripting for automation and management.

• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools, including Terraform and Ansible.

• Expertise in cloud security principles, including Virtual Private Networking (VPN) and Authentication/Authorization mechanisms.

• Proficiency in implementing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server environments.

• Knowledge of relevant security and compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-53.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

• A strong ethical compass and consistent adherence to business ethics.

• A track record of personally achieving results, taking ownership, and accepting responsibility.

• Demonstrable ability to lead, mentor, and drive results through effective team collaboration and guidance.

• Excellent organizational skills, including planning, budgeting, prioritizing multiple tasks, and following through on commitments.

• Exceptional time management abilities.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong listening and questioning abilities.

• Experience working with on-premises datacenters.

• Experience implementing SaaS solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Hands-on experience using and configuring DataDog Monitoring.

• Experience in the development or support of Public Safety software.

• Experience using penetration testing tools in a cloud environment.
