Step into a pivotal role at Anchorage Digital, a leader forging the future of institutional participation in the digital asset revolution. We provide the most advanced, secure, and regulated platform enabling institutions to navigate the complex world of crypto.

About Anchorage Digital: Powering Institutional Crypto

As the home of Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., the first and only federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S., we offer institutions a comprehensive suite of services including custody, trading, staking, and more. Backed by top-tier investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Goldman Sachs, we are building the essential infrastructure for value to move safely in the new global economy across multiple entities including Anchorage Digital Singapore and Porto by Anchorage Digital.

The Opportunity: Client Operations, Settlements Member

Our institutional clients rely on our agency trading service for discreet execution and deep liquidity across hundreds of assets. This role is critical to that process, focusing specifically on the precise and timely settlement of these complex digital asset transactions. You’ll be an integral part of the Client Operations team, ensuring the seamless conclusion of trading activity supported by Anchorage Digital Bank N.A.‘s qualified custody.

Your Impact: Driving Flawless Digital Asset Settlements

As a Member of Client Operations, specializing in Settlements, you will be at the heart of our operational excellence. You will develop, refine, and execute critical operational processes, ensuring timely and accurate settlements for our institutional clients. Your focus on robust risk mitigation strategies will be paramount in this dynamic environment. This position demands a deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and financial operations.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of institutional client transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in receiving, verifying, and reviewing operations.
  • Utilize blockchain explorers, trading platforms, and other tools for reconciliation and monitoring of diverse digital assets (including cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets, and fiat currencies).
  • Apply relevant accounting principles and procedures to reconcile balances and transactions across multiple platforms and wallets.
  • Generate accurate and insightful settlement reports using data analysis tools for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Navigate and master various internal systems and tools such as Salesforce, Jira, and Looker.
  • Support the operational needs of institutional clients within a financial services context, with familiarity with US AML requirements.
  • Manage the complexity of transactions involving a wide range of digital assets, prioritizing time-sensitive tasks to meet critical deadlines.
  • Contribute to process enhancements and potentially lead projects to develop new operational tasks.
  • Operate as a prolific individual contributor, delivering day-to-day results autonomously.
  • Effectively monitor and control all outstanding settlements, ensuring accuracy with client and counterparty tools.
  • Identify and thoughtfully address potential risks to the organization and clients.
  • Stay current with evolving cryptocurrency industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and best practices related to settlements and custody.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of different digital assets, their underlying technologies, and related operational processes.
  • Actively contribute to team discussions to improve processes and productivity.
  • Forge strong relationships with key internal partners (Compliance, Product) and external counterparties.
  • Collaborate effectively across internal teams to resolve settlement-related issues.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Experience)

  • Crucially: Availability to work rotational weekend and holiday shifts as part of our operational coverage model.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting settlement activities for institutional clients, with a strong grasp of back-office workflows.
  • A deep understanding of traditional financial services, products, and strategies.
  • Experience interacting with institutional clients in a financial setting, including familiarity with US Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
  • Solid understanding of the crypto industry landscape, tokens/protocols, and different verticals (staking, governance, etc.).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, agility, and the ability to quickly identify risks and adapt to changing goals or new products.
  • Proven ability to share knowledge and ensure information is accessible across the team, preventing single points of failure.
  • Familiarity with the responsibilities of interdepartmental teams and the ability to foster collaborative relationships.

Bonus Points

These aren’t required, but would be great assets:

  • Experience with Python, SQL, or database querying languages.
  • Familiarity with or experience using TRM, CipherTrace, or Jira.
