Senior Product Data Scientist, Mobile (Android & iOS) – Remote Eligible

We’re seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Data Scientist with a focus on our mobile products (Android and iOS). In this pivotal remote role, you will leverage data to deeply understand user behavior, drive product strategy, and optimize growth within our mobile ecosystems. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of key Mozilla experiences enjoyed by millions worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to uncover insights into user engagement, retention, and growth specifically within the Android and iOS environments.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers to define key questions, set measurable goals, and inform strategic decisions.
• Design, instrument, and validate critical telemetry to ensure robust data collection for mobile features and user journeys.
• Build and maintain large-scale data models and assets, primarily utilizing Google Cloud Platform tools like BigQuery and Looker.
• Lead and consult on the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests and other experiments to optimize product features and growth marketing initiatives.
• Translate data findings into actionable insights and recommendations that directly influence product strategy and execution.

What You Bring:

• Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of two (2) years of progressive professional experience demonstrating the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Proven expertise in mobile product analytics across both the Android and iOS platforms.
  • Experience with mobile lifecycle marketing analytics within the Android and iOS ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience designing, instrumenting, and validating telemetry specifically for mobile applications.
  • Solid track record in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests and other controlled experiments.
  • Proficiency in data modeling within Google Cloud Platform, with specific hands-on experience using BigQuery and Looker.

Location & Flexibility:

While the official location is San Francisco, California, this is a fully remote-eligible position. Candidates may telecommute from any location within the United States.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $128,398 – $200,528.64 per year. The final compensation offered will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
