What You’ll Do

As a Senior Web3 Native Engineer with Lazer Crypto, you won’t just write code; you’ll be a strategic partner and hands-on builder embedded directly with our diverse clientele. Your role will involve:

• Acting as a trusted client consultant and advisor, guiding founders and engineering teams on technical strategy, architecture, and best practices for dApps, protocol-level solutions, and dev tooling across the web3 stack.
• Designing, architecting, and developing sophisticated dApps and protocols, leveraging the unique strengths of ecosystems like EVM (including chains like Ethereum, Polygon, etc.) and Solana.
• Integrating seamlessly with existing smart contracts and programs within established blockchain environments.
• Elevating the technical capabilities of client teams through mentorship, collaborative architectural design, and introducing robust engineering processes.
• Navigating the complexities of multi-chain development, including asset bridging, diverse wallet integrations, and adapting to varying transaction confirmation patterns.
• Leading in-depth technical discussions with clients, managing project timelines, setting expectations, and ensuring successful delivery of complex web3 solutions.
• Contributing to the growth and knowledge sharing within our own engineering team by experimenting with cutting-edge web3 tools, exploring new platforms like Farcaster, and contributing to the open source ecosystem.

What You’ll Bring

To excel in this role, you should possess a deep blend of traditional software engineering mastery and specialized web3 expertise:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in both backend and frontend software development.
• Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with proven proficiency in modern frameworks like React, Node.js, and Next.js.
• Deep, expert-level experience in web3 dApp development, with a strong command of blockchain fundamentals across EVM and/or Solana ecosystems.
• Hands-on proficiency with ecosystem-specific libraries such as Web3.js or Ethers for EVM chains, and/or the Anchor framework or @solana/web3.js for Solana.
• Extensive practical experience with essential development tools in these ecosystems, including Hardhat, Foundry, and OpenZeppelin for EVM, and Anchor or Metaplex for Solana.
• Proven experience in a consulting or contracting capacity, demonstrating strong client management and technical communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Deep expertise deploying and scaling applications on major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience designing and implementing architectural solutions that effectively bridge web2 and web3 systems across different blockchain architectures.
• A nuanced understanding of the key differences between EVM and Solana, including gas vs. rent models, transaction finality, and their architectural implications.
• A self-sufficient, proactive professional who thrives with autonomy while skillfully managing client expectations and project timelines.
• Bonus points for a strong eye for design and user experience.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

While the core requirements are key, we appreciate varied backgrounds. Highlight any experience with:

• Smart contract development in Solidity or Rust.
• Building and deploying DeFi applications and contracts.
• Experience with EVM node operations and management.
