Senior Technical Writer, Product Documentation

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our innovative engineering teams and product experts, working together to build comprehensive and user-friendly technical content. Your work will directly contribute to user adoption, developer productivity, and the overall reputation of our software solutions. You’ll be instrumental in creating documentation that isn’t just informative, but truly impactful and easily discoverable.
What You’ll Do
As our Senior Technical Writer, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities that elevate our documentation standards and empower our technical community:
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality, accurate, and engaging technical documentation tailored for both end-users and developers, including guides, tutorials, API references, and online help systems. Work hand-in-hand with software development, QA, Product, and Project Managers in an agile environment to capture accurate information and ensure content aligns with product releases.
Champion the developer experience (DX) by proactively testing tools and services, identifying pain points, investigating issues, and translating feedback into actionable improvements and high-impact documentation that streamlines workflows and reduces friction.
Define and advocate for strategic content organization. Accurately prioritize documentation needs, from designing page layouts to optimizing content within our overall information architecture and taxonomy, always with search optimization in mind.
Establish and maintain clear documentation standards and style guidelines that ensure consistency and quality across all technical content and empower engineers to contribute effectively.
Plan, develop, and maintain a diverse portfolio of information products for our software, including comprehensive guides, interactive tutorials, specifications, and web-based help systems.
Research, write, meticulously proofread, edit, and potentially contribute to the translation of end-user manuals and online help content.
Create compelling visuals, including screenshots and illustrations, using graphic tools. Assist in the design of documentation templates and the development of team tools to enhance productivity.
Successfully manage multiple documentation projects and deliverables concurrently, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Significantly improve existing onboarding and educational processes by developing clear, accessible documentation that helps engineers quickly get up to speed on our systems and tools.
Utilize design and wireframing tools such as Adobe XD or Balsamiq to plan and visualize content structure and user flows.
What You’ll Bring

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical, writing, or communications field.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience writing high-quality, user-facing and developer-facing documentation and other forms of technical content for complex software or systems.
Proven experience writing documentation for cutting-edge technologies, including web, software, hardware, or cloud technologies.
Experience creating professional presentations, such as PowerPoint decks, for stakeholders.
Demonstrated proficiency with documentation platforms like Confluence and diagramming tools such as Lucid Charts.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and accurately to diverse audiences.
