Join LemFi, a dynamic and rapidly scaling Fintech company that’s transforming financial services for immigrants worldwide. We’re seeking a talented and driven Credit Analyst to join our growing team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our lending products.

About LemFi: Our Mission & Impact

At LemFi (YC S21, Series B), we’re on a mission to build the first full-stack financial services hub specifically designed for the world’s immigrant population. We believe that access to seamless, affordable financial tools is key to empowering individuals as they navigate life across borders.

Our multi-currency platform is already making a significant impact, processing over $1 billion in monthly transactions. We provide essential services like instant cross-border remittances, efficient foreign exchange, and flexible multi-currency accounts, all within a single, intuitive experience. With a global team exceeding 300 professionals across 15+ countries, we support twelve currencies and connect directly with local banks and mobile money networks to ensure transactions are fast and cost-effective.

Beyond payments, we are actively building a comprehensive financial ecosystem to equip immigrants with the resources they need to thrive, no matter where they are. This is a chance to be part of a company with a clear purpose and massive global potential.

The Opportunity: Credit Analyst

We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially-minded Credit Analyst to become a key contributor to our lending portfolio strategy. This role sits at the intersection of data and business impact, requiring you to dive deep into performance metrics, customer behavior, and risk drivers.

You will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that directly inform commercial decisions, support valuation processes, and provide senior leadership with the clarity needed to make high-impact choices. This is a hands-on, data-intensive position within our Fintech environment, perfect for someone who excels at finding value within datasets and driving business results through rigorous analysis.

You will be an integral part of our Data team, working closely with the Credit business unit to ensure data-driven insights are at the heart of our lending operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze our lending portfolio performance, customer trends, and key risk drivers through in-depth, ad-hoc investigations.
  • Develop and Maintain critical management dashboards and recurring reports that provide a clear picture of portfolio health and performance.
  • Conduct rigorous cohort analysis to uncover insights that inform strategic decisions in product development, credit policy, and portfolio valuation.
  • Identify emerging risks, market trends, and potential business opportunities by leveraging deep data analysis.
  • Provide Analytical Support for strategic initiatives and projects, delivering clear, concise presentations of your findings to stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with our decision science, underwriting, finance, and commercial teams, translating your analysis into concrete business actions and strategies.
  • Ensure all reporting and analysis adheres strictly to internal standards and external regulatory requirements (FCA, CONC).

What You’ll Bring

We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in credit analysis and a passion for using data to drive growth and manage risk. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience as a Credit Analyst, portfolio analyst, or similar role, ideally within UK consumer lending, Fintech, or broader financial services.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL & Python for data extraction and analysis. Experience with cloud data warehouses and data transformation frameworks like dbt is highly valued.
  • Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to perform sophisticated analyses, including cohort analysis, and support financial modeling or valuation exercises.
  • Domain Knowledge: A keen understanding of core credit portfolio KPIs and key risk metrics.
  • Data Handling: Experience working with credit bureau data or other large credit performance datasets.
  • Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills with a sharp attention to detail. The ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Attributes: A proactive and commercially-minded approach. The ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

Who We Are Looking For

Beyond the technical skills, we value individuals who embody our company culture. You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where honesty, transparency, and taking ownership are key. You are a natural collaborator, believing that open communication leads to better results. You embrace change with adaptability and possess a strong drive for excellence, dedicating yourself not only to your craft but also to the success of your team and, ultimately, the satisfaction of our customers.
