The Opportunity: Shape News Discovery

We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally fluent Freelance Online Content Editor to join our dynamic, remote team on a 12-month contract. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in curating high-quality, relevant, and engaging digital content specifically for users in Denmark and Germany. Leveraging your sharp editorial judgment, deep regional knowledge, and cultural awareness, you will select articles from a diverse range of trusted sources to build compelling, policy-compliant news feeds that resonate deeply with local audiences.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

• Actively curate news and lifestyle content streams tailored for users in Denmark and Germany.
• Strategically select timely, engaging, and compliant articles from a wide network of reputable publishers.
• Maintain a balanced and diverse content mix across various verticals, including politics, entertainment, health, and technology.
• Keep your finger on the pulse, monitoring breaking news and regional trends in real time.
• Uphold Taboola’s rigorous editorial guidelines, ensuring accuracy, diversity, and relevance in all curated content.

What You’ll Bring: Skills & Experience

• Full professional fluency, both spoken and written, in Danish, German, and English is essential.
• Possess strong editorial judgment and a solid understanding of digital media trends.
• Demonstrate deep familiarity with current affairs, culture, and media landscapes specifically within Denmark and Germany.
• Proven experience in areas such as journalism, editing, content curation, or digital publishing.
• Exceptional ability to work autonomously and effectively with minimal supervision.
• Comfort and confidence navigating CMS platforms and other digital editorial tools.
