Join our team as a Senior React Developer for a dynamic contract opportunity! You’ll be engaged by Magnit to work directly with GuideWell, focusing on critical Customer Experience applications. This role is perfect for a seasoned front-end professional eager to leverage their expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks to build impactful solutions.

This is a contract position. You will be employed by Magnit, working directly on assignment with GuideWell. GuideWell partners with Magnit as their Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Employer of Record (EOR). This role is part of the GuideWell Contractor Cohort program, designed to curate talent for temporary opportunities with GuideWell companies, offering you the chance to work on meaningful projects while enjoying the benefits of being part of the Magnit team.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior IT Developer specializing in React, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development life cycle of our Customer Experience applications. Your key contributions will include:

• Leading the design, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions primarily using React.js, Redux, D3, and Node.js.
• Creating and maintaining detailed system specifications and technical documentation.
• Conducting thorough unit testing, performance testing, and evaluation of both internally developed and purchased software products.
• Ensuring the implementation and adherence to robust IT Controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data.
• Serving as a technical leader and mentor, overseeing work results, providing guidance, and training other Developers on best practices and complex implementations.
• Actively participating in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), adhering to coding standards, release procedures, and change management protocols.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a proven track record in front-end and full-stack development. Required qualifications include:

• A minimum of 5+ years of related professional experience in technical design and coding within the IT industry.
• Proficiency programming in multiple languages, with a strong emphasis on React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Expertise in modern front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript/jQuery, local storage management, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• Solid understanding of React and Redux principles and build-out patterns.
• Experience with modern web development tools and techniques such as Node, Webpack, Grunt/Gulp, GIT for version control, Axios, and testing frameworks like Jest.
• Proficiency using MERN and MEAN Scaffolding tools.
• Solid knowledge of DOM manipulation and client-side validation.
• Familiarity with client-side templating engines (e.g., mustache.js, handlebars.js).
• Experience with responsive grid systems.
• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol, and change management procedures.
• A strong understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that align with business objectives and strategy.
• Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage tasks independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and make effective independent decisions.
• Flexibility, adaptability to a rapidly changing environment, and a strong team player attitude.
• Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and articulately.
• Proficiency using standard desktop applications (like MS Suite) and flowcharting tools (like Visio).
• Proficiency using debugging tools.

Bonus Points

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred and will help you stand out:

• Experience within specific domains such as Health Care or Financial Services.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid development methodologies.
• Experience with mobile design (native and mobile web) is a plus.
• Experience with Foundation.
• Experience with web accessibility guidelines and requirements.
• Experience with Java J2EE, Thyme Leaf, Spring boot, Red Hat OpenShift platform, or SSO.
• Prior experience with Florida Blue (FLBL) systems.

Education

Required: A related bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
