The Opportunity: Lead Quality, Drive Change
We’re seeking an inspiring and skilled QA Lead to take the helm of our Quality Assurance team. This pivotal role isn’t just about testing; it’s about championship โ championing quality, empowering a high-performing team, and embedding excellence across our software development lifecycle.
As our QA Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our cutting-edge software applications. You’ll master testing practices, refine automation strategies, and elevate defect management to new heights, setting ambitious standards for quality excellence.
This role offers the exciting chance to own and drive our “shift-left” approach. You will proactively integrate with our engineering teams early in the development process, tackling potential issues before they impact delivery and helping build robust software right from the start.
What You’ll Be Doing: Key Responsibilities
Leading & Coaching for Excellence
Bring your fresh perspective and hands-on leadership to a QA function undergoing positive change, guiding your team through evolving processes and projects.
Navigate and manage relationships with a diverse group of senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes and securing buy-in for critical QA strategies and initiatives.
Support and lead the strategic direction of the QA Process across the business, driving the adoption of cutting-edge strategies and best practices.
Provide effective people management, fostering growth and performance through constructive conversations, engaging team meetings, and clear goal alignment.
Driving Technical Mastery & Automation
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts covering functional, performance, and regression testing.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and DevOps, to seamlessly integrate quality checks at every stage of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Establish, champion, and enforce high standards for QA best practices and processes within your team and across engineering.
Monitor software development processes, ensuring adherence to both company and industry quality standards.
Conduct thorough root cause analysis for defects, providing actionable recommendations for continuous process improvement.
What You’ll Bring: Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience in mentoring Quality Engineers, fostering a culture of shift-left collaboration alongside developers.
Proven ability to successfully engage and influence a range of senior stakeholders to champion and implement QA processes and changes.
Strong, hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with significant demonstrated success in a leadership role.
Extensive experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
Familiarity with modern test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, XCUITest (iOS), Espresso (Android)) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) is a strong plus.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab is valuable.
Experience with performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP) is also a plus.
Comfortable working within Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and leadership abilities that inspire confidence and collaboration.
