The Opportunity: QA Engineer

Are you a meticulous and proactive QA Engineer with a passion for quality and customer satisfaction? We’re seeking a skilled professional to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations. You’ll work collaboratively across technical teams, acting as a key advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing: Key Responsibilities

As a QA Engineer at BLEND360, your expertise will be vital in maintaining our high standards. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with development teams from the early stages to proactively identify and address potential quality concerns.
• Defining and championing best practices for testing processes and quality standards within the organization.
• Designing and creating detailed, comprehensive, and structured test plans and test cases.
• Leading the estimation, prioritization, planning, and coordination of all testing activities.
• Contributing valuable insights during architecture and design discussions to ensure testability and quality are built-in.
• Evaluating business needs and objectives to inform testing strategies.
• Exploring and recommending alternative technology solutions to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Driving initiatives to enhance data quality and reliability across our solutions.
• Working effectively with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Architects, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to support the development of junior QA Engineers.

What You’ll Bring: Qualifications

We’re looking for a talented individual with a strong foundation and a drive to continuously learn and improve. The ideal candidate will possess:

• At least 3 years of dedicated experience as a QA Engineer, SDET, or in a similar quality-focused role.
• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, IT, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in English (Level B2 or Higher).
• Deep understanding of at least one object-oriented programming language/library (Python preferred).
• Strong command of SQL and practical experience with SQL warehouses and relational databases.
• Demonstrated experience with API testing and implementing test automation frameworks.
• A genuine interest in technology trends and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and evolving requirements.
• Proven ability to coordinate technical activities alongside engineering and project management leadership.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts, challenges, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid experience in software development methodologies and testing practices.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in an agile environment with evolving demands.
• Expert problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and perseverance.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
