About the Opportunity

As our Manual QA Lead, you will be at the forefront of our quality initiatives, orchestrating the manual testing lifecycle from planning through execution and defect resolution. You’ll not only lead by example in testing best practices but also mentor and guide a team of talented QA professionals. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Guide, mentor, and lead the day-to-day activities of our manual testing team across diverse projects.
• Develop, champion, and meticulously maintain comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases, and test scripts that align with project requirements and quality goals.
• Serve as the primary quality liaison, coordinating testing efforts seamlessly with cross-functional partners including Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers.
• Uphold and enhance our QA Methodologies and processes, ensuring all testing activities adhere to established quality standards.
• Meticulously track, analyze, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication to stakeholders.
• Foster growth and provide effective mentorship, coaching, and guidance to junior members of the QA team.
• Provide clear, concise, and timely reporting on testing progress, results, and key QA metrics to project teams and leadership.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and standards, identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring (Required Qualifications)

We’re looking for candidates who possess:

• A solid academic foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Proven experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Leadership experience: At least 2 years in a dedicated lead or senior capacity, guiding testing efforts and mentoring others.
• Deep understanding of QA Methodologies, principles, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience working effectively within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exceptional skill in writing clear, detailed, and effective Test Plans and Test Cases.
• Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools, such as JIRA or similar platforms.
• A firm grasp of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Candidates with the following will have a distinct advantage:

• ISTQB Certification or an equivalent recognized QA certification.
• Experience testing specific areas such as APIs, databases, or mobile applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities to dissect complex issues.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical details and quality insights to various audiences.
