Join Our Team: Quality Assurance Engineer, Autonomous Systems

Are you a passionate Quality Assurance Engineer with a knack for building robust automated test infrastructure? In this vital role, you will be embedded within engineering, crafting the essential test logic that ensures our cutting-edge autonomy stack doesn’t just function, but performs optimally, scales reliably, and withstands immense pressure. You’ll get hands-on with software that bridges the digital and physical worlds, simulating unpredictable environments and operating where safety, speed, and reliability are absolutely non-negotiable.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

• Design, build, and maintain sophisticated automated test suites covering critical workflows across both our Go backend services and React frontends.
• Develop impactful integration tests that rigorously validate system behavior across various components, including cloud services, edge computing platforms, and software embedded directly on autonomous platforms.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle to ensure testability, traceability, and inherent robustness from the initial design phase.
• Implement strategic mocking, stubbing, and simulation techniques to facilitate realistic and repeatable testing of complex autonomy software.
• Skillfully track down challenging bugs, generate clear and actionable issue reports, and partner on rapid resolutions that enhance the system’s integrity.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on boosting reliability, increasing speed, and empowering developers.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

• Solid professional experience with modern automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or TestCafe.
• Strong expertise in backend testing, including validation of REST/gRPC APIs using tools like Postman, k6, Gatling, or similar.
• Proven practical experience with unit and integration testing in Go and React (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
• Familiarity with standard CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins – you understand how to maintain a healthy pipeline.
• Confidence working within Linux-based environments and proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, thriving in cross-functional engineering environments.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to specific project constraints.

Bonus Points (Preferred Skills & Experience):

• Experience deploying tests within containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) or on major cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• A background in robotics, autonomy, or real-time systems – experience testing software that interacts with physical movement, sensing, or control.
• Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or simulation-based testing methodologies in autonomy or control systems contexts.
• Exposure to relevant simulation platforms such as Gazebo, CARLA, or custom-built 3D testbeds.
• Knowledge of security testing, compliance requirements, or fault-injection testing, particularly in safety-critical environments.

Work Location: Remote within the U.S.

This is a fully remote position, but candidates must reside and be authorized to work within the United States. Some travel may be required on occasion.
