About the Opportunity: Test Automation Engineer
Are you a seasoned Test Automation Engineer passionate about quality and innovation? If so, Veradigm invites you to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare technology.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record of designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the high-quality delivery of our cutting-edge healthcare solutions through comprehensive UI and API automation, sophisticated framework development, and seamless integration into continuous processes.
What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be instrumental in our software development lifecycle. Your key contributions will include:
- Architecting, building, and maintaining cutting-edge automated test frameworks and scripts for diverse applications including web, mobile, and APIs.
- Championing quality across teams by collaborating closely with developers, manual QA specialists, and DevOps engineers.
- Crafting and executing comprehensive automated regression, functional, integration, and performance tests.
- Taking ownership of test data management, environment configuration, and version control for all test artifacts.
- Integrating automated test suites into our CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab, accelerating our delivery pace.
- Identifying, documenting, and diligently tracking software defects, working hand-in-hand with development teams for swift resolution.
- Actively participating in Agile ceremonies, contributing valuable insights during estimation and planning phases.
- Driving continuous improvement by evaluating new test automation tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and coverage.
What You’ll Bring: Skills & Experience
We’re looking for a candidate with a strong foundation and a passion for quality assurance automation.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience specializing in test automation for web and/or enterprise applications.
- Deep expertise with industry-leading automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, REST Assured, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language like C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python – crucial for building and maintaining robust test code.
- Extensive experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and backend components.
- Advanced skills in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries and understand performance tuning implications.
- Familiarity and practical experience with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Cucumber, or Behave.
- Hands-on experience integrating test automation into CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.
- A solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and practical experience working within Agile methodologies.
Bonus Points: Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following experience would be a significant asset:
- Experience with dedicated performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or k6.
- Exposure to major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestrating automated tests within them.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing.
