As a Senior Test Engineer, you’ll leverage your expertise in both automation and strategic manual testing to build confidence in every release. This isn’t just about finding bugs; it’s about building a robust, scalable quality infrastructure from the ground up.
Key Contributions & Responsibilities
As part of our dedicated QA team, your mission will be to drive software quality through innovative automation, strategic planning, and close collaboration. Your key contributions will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated End-to-End (E2E) and API tests for complex cloud applications.
- Architecting and building scalable test automation frameworks, potentially from scratch, using modern tools and best practices.
- Evaluating, selecting, and optimizing test automation tools and frameworks for maximum coverage and efficiency.
- Seamlessly integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality and automated deployments.
- Defining and implementing pipeline-as-code strategies and championing automation standards.
- Creating and utilizing automation dashboards to provide clear visibility into build quality and test execution.
- Performing strategic manual and exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and inform automation efforts.
- Ensuring comprehensive test coverage across all levels: Unit, Integration, System, and UAT.
- Creating and maintaining clear, concise test documentation, including strategies and test cases.
- Ensuring requirements traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Partnering closely with development teams to understand functionality, participate in design/code reviews, and facilitate timely issue resolution.
- Championing QA best practices and mentoring team members to elevate collective expertise.
- Supporting and analyzing results for performance, load, and scalability testing initiatives.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
We’re looking for a skilled professional with a proven track record in software quality engineering who is ready to take on significant ownership. Ideally, you will have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Test Automation, QA Engineering, or SDET roles.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing End-to-End (E2E) test automation solutions using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or JUnit.
- Strong experience with API testing methodologies and tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Proven ability to define comprehensive test strategies, create detailed test plans, and write clear test cases.
- Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Solid understanding of QA best practices, testing methodologies, and test traceability.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with automated deployments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong, proactive problem-solving abilities.
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Programming proficiency in languages like C# or Java for writing and maintaining test scripts.
