Associate Director, Business Development – Drive Growth in Life Sciences (Remote, Europe)

About the Opportunity
As our Associate Director, Business Development, you will be instrumental in driving significant revenue growth by securing new business and nurturing strategic client relationships within the Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance (PV), Medical Information (MI), and Regulatory Affairs (RA) domains. This dynamic role combines independent lead generation, proactive client acquisition, strategic account development, and direct support for our broader commercial initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For
You are a seasoned professional with a demonstrable history of success in Business Development and/or strategic Account Management within the CRO or wider Life Sciences industry. You possess a strategic, results-oriented mindset and are known for your ability to identify, pursue, and secure new client partnerships independently. Your expertise spans our core service areas (Clinical Research, PV, MI, RA), and you are ready to leverage it to achieve ambitious sales targets and contribute to our company’s expansion.
What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
Drive New Business Acquisition
- Proactively identify, target, and acquire new client opportunities, focusing specifically on our Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information, and Regulatory Affairs service lines.
- Independently lead lead generation activities, pipeline development, and relationship building from initial contact through to deal closure.
- Represent Biomapas at industry conferences, events, and meetings, actively seeking opportunities to expand our network and visibility.
Cultivate Client Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong, lasting partnerships with assigned key clients, ensuring proactive and strategic account management.
- Act as a key point of contact, coordinating responses to RFPs/RFIs and leading strategic bid defense meetings.
- Ensure exceptionally high levels of client satisfaction and foster long-term engagement and service continuity.
Shape & Execute Sales Strategy
- Actively contribute to and support the implementation of our commercial strategy, aligning your efforts with company goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Proposals, Operations, and Medical/Scientific experts, to develop compelling value propositions and close deals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and pipeline progress within CRM systems.
Achieve Revenue Targets
- Consistently meet and exceed assigned individual sales quotas and contribute significantly to year-over-year revenue growth within your territory and accounts.

Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated success in Sales or Account Management roles within the CRO or related Life Sciences industry.
- Proven track record specifically acquiring new business in Clinical Research and/or PV, MI, RA services is highly preferred.
- Fluent English (both spoken and written) is essential. Proficiency in another native European language is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) is a plus.
