What You’ll Do: Your Impact

As an IT Automation & Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the internal infrastructure that powers Teleport. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing next-generation IT workflow automation systems using Go, Temporal, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborating closely with engineering teams to ‘dogfood’ the Teleport platform, focusing on Identity Governance and Access Policies.
• Developing and deploying hardened security solutions and automation for critical endpoints (e.g., macOS).
• Creating robust IT automation using Terraform, shell scripting, and Go.
• Building and maintaining integrations with key enterprise tools (e.g., Panther, Jamf Pro, Okta, Rippling, etc.).
• Providing expert-level support for complex internal IT issues, acting as a point of escalation for our Helpdesk.

What You Bring: Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for automation and security. Ideally, you have:

• Strong programming skills in Go. Experience with Temporal is a significant plus.
• Expertise in Linux systems engineering and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and robust shell scripting.
• Practical experience in IT security & administration, including supporting enterprise applications (Okta, Rippling, Zendesk, etc.).
• A genuine willingness to tackle varied IT challenges, from hands-on support to deep technical problem-solving.
