The Opportunity: Drive Innovation & Solutions in Logistics

Are you a seasoned project manager with a passion for turning complex logistics challenges into seamless, innovative solutions? Do you thrive in a client-facing environment, leading the charge on integrations and driving service excellence? As a Project Manager for Customer Excellence & Innovation within our Air & Sea division, you will be a critical resource, bridging the gap between client needs and DSV’s powerful capabilities. You’ll lead projects focused on integrating new business, engineering bespoke solutions, implementing improvements for existing clients, and driving innovation that sets DSV apart in the competitive freight forwarding and logistics industry.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Partner for Growth: Collaborate closely with our Sales teams, serving as an operational and TMS (Transportation Management System) subject matter expert to design solutions and contribute strategic insights during pre-sale client engagements.
  • Assess and Advise: Evaluate complex client requirements through RFIs, providing expert risk and ROI assessments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Engineer Solutions: Design and tailor logistics solutions by aligning intricate client needs with DSV’s comprehensive portfolio of services.
  • Lead POM Expertise: Act as a super user and expert for Purchase Order Management (POM) systems, providing demonstrations and determining the optimal solution configuration for clients.
  • Manage EDI Integrations: Take ownership of the entire lifecycle for Client EDI integration projects, coordinating activities across global and regional IT teams and directly with the client.
  • Ensure Quality & Compliance: Lead integration UAT testing efforts and develop crucial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring clear communication and training for all key stakeholders.
  • Champion Improvement: Participate actively in Client Business Reviews, identifying opportunities and championing initiatives for continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Drive Innovation: Spearhead forward-thinking innovation projects designed to create differentiation, enhance client satisfaction, and build long-term ‘stickiness’ with our partners.
  • Build Relationships: Maintain direct, consistent, and impactful relationships with customers throughout the duration of each project, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

What You’ll Bring: Qualifications for Success

Required Experience & Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the Freight Forwarding or broader Logistics industry, with at least 3 years specifically in Freight Forwarding operations.
  • Proven experience managing or coordinating EDI processes with partners, vendors, or customers.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a role involving extensive interaction with senior-level clients.
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint).
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of EDI standards, platforms, and business processes.
  • General knowledge of Supply Chain Management and the Logistics industry landscape.
  • Understanding of the full range of Logistics services, including order management, customs brokerage, cost optimization, warehousing, transport management, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to lead through influence and effectively motivate diverse teams across organizational levels.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • A solid understanding of Project Management and Quality concepts and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CargoWise TMS.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. The expected base pay is $110,000 – $125,000 annually. The final base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographical location, and other objective business considerations.
