Your Impact: Building Seamless Experiences as a Ruby on Rails Engineer

Our ambitious feature roadmap and exponential user growth demand an expanding and highly skilled tech team. We are specifically seeking experienced Ruby on Rails Engineers with a *strong and dedicated focus* on frontend development to help us build, scale, and refine our product architecture and user interfaces.

This is a hands-on role where you will work across the full stack, with a critical emphasis on leveraging modern techniques and frameworks to create highly performant and delightful user experiences. Your expertise in the Hotwire stack, particularly Stimulus, TurboStreams, and TurboFrames, is key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to translate requirements and specifications into technical plans.
• Prepare detailed integration plans, task breakdowns, and estimations for both backend and frontend development tasks.
• Implement high-quality, efficient code across our backend and frontend, with a primary focus on creating intuitive and performant user interfaces.
• Actively participate in pull requests, code reviews, and comprehensive testing to ensure code quality, consistency, and reliability.

You will report directly to our Tech Lead and work in close collaboration with our Co-founder & CTO, Michael, as well as a talented team of web developers, SREs, DevOps engineers, and Data Scientists to deliver impactful features for our millions of users.

Are You the Right Fit? Your Qualifications & Mindset

We’re looking for proactive, skilled engineers who are excited by the challenge of building at scale in a dynamic environment. Here’s what we expect:

Required Technical Expertise:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack or Software Engineer.
• Demonstrably *extensive* experience and a strong portfolio in modern frontend development.
• Deep expertise with Ruby on Rails, including recent, hands-on experience building and maintaining applications.
• Proven track record working within fast-paced tech scale-ups or similarly agile and dynamic environments.
• Experience contributing to large-scale products used by thousands, preferably millions, of monthly users.
• Proficiency and practical experience with the Hotwire frontend stack, including Stimulus, TurboStreams, and TurboFrames.
